About Us
Andy grew up in Virginia on his family’s farm where they raised Angus cattle and club calves. He was active in showing steers and heifers through 4-H and FFA. Andy attended Penn State University for college, during which time he developed his skills through freelance fitting and clipping. After college, he went to work for Buck Cattle Co., in Madill, Okla. During his time at Buck's, he had the opportunity to purchase Jirl Buck’s entire club calf herd, so he took up ranching for himself a few miles up the road from his mentor.

In 1997, Andy formed McIntire Cattle Co. and moved back to Virginia to run his cowherd and help with the family’s farming activities. By 1998, McIntire Cattle Co. had grown to the point where Andy had to devote 100% of his time to it. The following year, a steer he raised went on to be named Grand Champion at the Fort Worth Stock Show, leading to a long tradition of success in the show ring.

In 2002, Andy married his wife, Kendra, and in 2005 the couple had a son named Logan. The family currently maintains a high-quality herd with much influence from sires Draft Pick and Meyer. Always growing and changing, they’ve also begun to use a lot of Charolais genetics at the request of many southern customers. They raise both spring- and fall-borns to suit the needs of a large variety of clients, and they continue to remain committed to raising high-quality cattle.
